Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011

Another fabulous red carpet was rolled out yesterday for the 17^th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.  Again, we saw a lot of nude shades as well as a move into peach and pink hues.  Of course, it is all in the detail – whether it be embellishments, prints or lace.

Here are my best-dressed winners with looks that will work as a wedding dress:

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta oozed glamour and sex appeal with this sophisticated look.  To achieve this look try our ‘Jade’ gown with similar v-neck draped bodice, bias skirt and wide tie at the waist, or why not choose a metallic belt like Lea for a modern twist.

Another star from Glee, Heather Morris was chose an elegant and classic silhouette in this peach/nude Romona Keveza gown.  It is all in the detail with crystal and diamante accents as well as feathers on the bodice.  Our ‘Madelyn’ features a twisted and ruched silk georgette bodice and full tulle skirt.  Add one of our gorgeous bejewelled belts for similar look on your day.

Tina Fey gets a standing ovation from us in this gorgeous all over red lace gown by Oscar de la Renta. Our strapless ‘Victoria’ gown with all over lace features a velvet ribbon detail at the hip.  Finish your look with a chignon and some statement earrings.

Effortless and chic comes to mind while seeing Mila Kunis star of ‘Black Swan’ walk the red carpet in this stunning gown by Alexander McQueen – and we just love the print!  For a strapless look with belted waist, look no further than our ‘Ashley’ gown with its draped and ruched bodice in silk georgette.  'Ashley' can be worn with or without the straps.

Again, Hilary Swank makes it on our list in Versace with asymmetrical draping and beaded detail.  Our ‘Kimberly’ is a perfect match featuring similar draping on the bodice and georgette one shoulder tie detail.  Achieve the accent-beaded detail with a bejewelled belt like the flower belt shown for a soft romantic look.

Our best dressed list wouldn’t be complete without Nicole Kidman in this classic black gown by Nina Ricci with stunning lace cut out detail.  If you are after a demure gown with lace accent why not try our ‘Emily’ Jacket over the ‘Joy’ gown. Team with a unique necklace or belt for an individual look.

Channeling her inner bride in this white Alberta Ferretti gown, Winona Ryder also from ‘Black Swan’ looked fabulous.  Our ‘Chelsea’ gown with corseted strapless bodice and draped panels of tulle and powder loom silk is a close match.
